Welcome to LaboratoryMike.com!

Community-driven science resources

The heart of LaboratoryMike.com is its community of teachers and researchers, and the resource sharing systems that helps teachers bring innovation to the classroom, and helps researchers communicate their work to the next generation and to each other. The site began out of a collaboration between two high school researchers and a graduate student who needed to work together on a case study, and is now growing to include teachers and researchers in ESTEEM fields. If you are a teacher looking to learn about innovation directly from professional researchers, or if you are a researcher who wants to share your work with other researchers or with teachers, we can help you!

Building ESTEEM

ESTEEM is the next logical step forward in traditional STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), by including Entrepreneurship and Economics. We include these subjects in order to give context to science and scientific research; to enable students to learn about how ideas can become everyday reality. We also include these idea to encourage students to aspire to being the next Steve Jobs, as opposed to being the next Apple employee, as we need more of the former in order to stay competitive internationally. By being part of this site you can take part in this paradigm shift of thinking about innovation.
