Welcome to the Help section!

    This is the page that points you to all of the resources we have available if you need some kind of help on the site. Help is divided into three categories: Getting Started, Reporting Site Problems, and Reporting Abuse and Illegal Activity.

Getting Started

    If you are new to the site, and aren't quite sure what to do, visit the Getting Started page, then look at the Tutorials. If there's a question that hasn't been asked yet, we'd suggest asking it in the Forums after that, as you question has either been posted already, or it will be answered most quickly that way. If you are still having trouble, you can File a Help Request, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Reporting Site Problems

    Go to Help -> File a Help Request, and write down the nature of the problem you encountered, and how we can reproduce it. If we can pin down the same problem, we can either fix it or help you avoid the problem in the future.

Reporting Abuse and Illegal Activity

    Abuse can mean abuse of copyrights and other intellectual property, and abuse of users by other users or by moderators. We take all cases of abuse very seriously, and we prioritize moderating time to deal with these issues first. If someone is doing something illegal on this website, harassing you, etc., go to Help -> File a Help Request,and indicate that you are being abused. Use the same procedure when filing a complaint about a moderator; we practice "the rule of law" here, mods are not above the law, and they do not read your help requests.
