LaboratoryMike.com is a community of teachers and researchers dedicated to exposing middle and high school science teachers to cutting-edge scientific research, and to helping researchers (especially grad students) build high-quality resources and computational tools.
Our contribution system enables users to form communities around topics of interest, build resources, and modify and review them. While all resources are free and open source, our system tracks contributions and rewards those who contribute through a scoring system, and through an under-development portfolio system that lets members show their accomplishments to others, particularly employers.
